Purple coneflowers are my favorite flower. This design is the perfect way to bring a flower garden's beauty into your kitchen. Treat yourself or your favorite flower enthusiast to this unique handmade original. Buy one for a kitchen accent or several of the background colors for an entire bouquet!

DESIGN DETAILING:
The purple coneflower design features between 8-12 pieces, that are individually cut out of recycled wool sweaters & sewn on in an order that enhances the flowers 3D appearance. This particular design is especially "seasonal" to my ability to find just the right sweaters to accurately emulate the flowers' gorgeous petals & the orange/ burnt umber heathering that occurs naturally in the center disk.

Every potholder/ovenmitt is handmade, by me, from RECYCLED wool sweaters that have been felted thoroughly for durability.

POTHOLDER OPTION: Approx 8"x8" Each potholder is sewn 4 layers thick for high heat resistance.

OVENMITT OPTION: Every ovenmitt is also sewn 4 layers thick & personally sewn by me. I've chosen to sew all of my ovenmitts "pinch grip" style.  Although more complex to make, a "pinch grip" mitt allows you easily use it on either hand. I also sew every ovenmitt's design & handle loops congruently, so unlike the typical ovenmitt others sell - a Fat Tomato Designs piece is NOT upside down when you hang it up in your kitchen.

Notes on COLORS:
Please note that the images are for context & display of the designs.  Unless otherwise requested- these oven mitts & potholders come in the colors listed below (shades varies based on sweaters available). If you do not see the  background color you were hoping for please contact me- I'm sure we can work something out.

CARE DIRECTIONS: Wash cold- air dry flat.
