Celebrate your enthusiasm for pie! This is a very limited edition piece as I’ve only found one sweater hits the the lemon meringue color so perfectly. This design uses four separate wool colors & carefully cut pieces to make such a detailed likeness to actual pie. Note the use of cable knitting to emulate the meringue peaks.

I personally make every item I sell. Each potholder/ovenmitt is my own design & individually made, by handmade, from recycled wool sweaters. As a result, each one is unique & the images online (unless stated otherwise) are merely items I’ve previously made & posted as examples for context of what your item will look similar to. I don’t currently have the time to pre-make pieces, so what you order will genuinely be made fresh & just for you.

All my work is intended for use. To ensure high heat resistance & extra durability- each potholder/ovenmitt is 4 layers thick; the sweaters are thoroughly felted & every seam is double stitched. Designs are cut from the sweater scraps & sewn with no less than double stiching. These extra considerations help them maintain their detailing when washed cold & air dried flat.

POTHOLDER OPTION: Approx 8"x8" w/durable loop for hanging. Each potholder is sewn 4 layers thick for high heat resistance.

OVENMITT OPTION: I sew all of my ovenmitts as a "pinch grip" ovenmitt style.  Although more complex to make, a "pinch grip" mitt allows for easy use on either hand. Additionally, I sew every ovenmitt's design & handle loops congruently, so unlike the typical ovenmitt others make, Fat Tomato Designs pieces are NOT upside down when hung up in your kitchen!

NOTES ABOUT COLOR:
Please note that the images are for context & display of the designs.   BACKGROUND: If you are choosing a solid color background color, colors are consistent with options listed, but the shade may vary- based on what sweaters are currently available. If you are choosing a "print", "argyle" or "striped" background those will also vary based on sweaters available but also will vary in coloring, print size etc. If you do not see the background color you were hoping for, please contact me- I'm sure we can work something out.  

CARE DIRECTIONS: Wash cold- air dry flat.
